When any major modifications have been made, it's a good idea to check that the clothing still fits.

Back into Poser

This is the same set-up that was used to adjust the tube morphs in the beginning, but instead of the tube I've imported the OBJ file that was just worked on in Anim8or.

Note that once again, the figure's basic mesh is used, not the figure from the library palette.

Set the skirt's material colour to black, and you can see that there is a tiny bit of thigh sticking through. By changing the skirt's display property to wireframe, you can see which points need adjusting, and pull them out a bit in Anim8or.

Then, you have a choice.
  1. You can re-import the corrected mesh, and check the fit again. If it's good, the new mesh becomes the one to use; if not, adjust and try again.
  2. You can apply the new OBJ file as a morph to the old one. That way, you can alter the amount of adjustment; handy if you're not sure how far to move something. In this case, you would export the morphed version from Poser and use that as the new OBJ.
In either method, it's a case of trial and error, going back and forth between Poser and your modelling application until you're happy with the fit. It's worth putting in some obsessional attention to detail here, because if the fit isn't right at this point, it's never going to get better. Remember to keep changing your camera viewpoint to make sure you've covered all the angles.
